REUTERS/Kevin Lamarque (Reuters) – A cybersecurity audit of the U.S. Transportation Department’s information systems is planned for later this month. The agency’s inspector general announced that in a Monday memo.
A review will take place on 21 high-value assets that were identified by Kevin Dorsey (assistant inspector general for information technology audits), in a message sent to the chief information officer.
According to the document the review will determine whether Transportation Department has developed a governance program for its critical systems. It can also address network vulnerability.
This review will be conducted primarily at Washington D.C.’s agency headquarters.
