United Parcel Service Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 -Breaking

Investing.com United Parcel Service (NYSE 🙂 announced Tuesday that it had reported its third quarter results that exceeded analysts’ expectations and generated revenue that was above all estimates.

United Parcel Service posted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.71 on $23.18B in revenue. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of 2.55 for revenue $22.58B.

United Parcel Service shares rose 21% over the beginning of this year. They are down 7.15% from May 10, when it hit a 52 week high at $219.59, but that was only 21%. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is up 21.58% from the start of the year.

United Parcel Service joins other Transportation industry earnings this month

United Parcel Service reports on the earnings beat of Union Pacific, which reported EPS at $2.57 per share on $5.57B in revenue, as opposed to forecasts of EPS at $2.48 for revenue of $5.41B.

Canadian National Railway beat all expectations with its third quarter earnings per share (EPS) of $1.52 on $3.59B in revenue, as compared to $1.41 forecasted on $3.5B revenue.
