COPENHAGEN, (Reuters) – Denmark’s ATP is aiming to invest 200 billion Danish crowns ($31billion) in green projects by 2030. This figure will be half of what it has in 2025. It made this statement in a Thursday release.
Bo Foged, ATP chief executive stated that reaching 100 billion DKK green investments within three years was – even for an ATP investor as large – a daunting challenge.
“We are looking to make the most of the investment we have and to shift our focus from energy to green.
ATP has more than $156 Billion in assets and manages a compulsory pension scheme that covers approximately 5.2 Million Danish members.
ATP, which was one of the world’s first pension funds to invest in green bonds, said that it will also demand from all investors, by 2025, that they report their carbon emissions.
