According to Sarah Wechter (head of human resources), the bank will follow the Biden administration policy that requires all employees supporting contracts with government agencies to have full vaccinations. The government is still a large and important client for Citi.
But, the bank indicated that exemptions for religious, medical, and other accommodation under state or local laws will be evaluated on a individual basis.
Large Wall Street firms have struggled to find answers about employee safety as well as how they can bring back their workers after the spread of the Delta coronavirus virus across the nation. While some companies have delayed their return-to office plans, other firms chose to keep going.
Earlier this month, Bank of America Corp (NYSE:) said it will pay out $200 awards https://www.reuters.com/business/bank-america-offers-200-vaccinated-merrill-staffers-going-office-2021-10-06 to its employees at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management who are fully vaccinated and going to office regularly.
