REUTERS/Yves Herman(Reuters) – Luxury eyewear company EssilorLuxottica has raised its full year guidance. This is due to sales continuing to climb above the pre-pandemic level in the third quarter. The strong growth in Latin America and North America helped.
Oakley sunglasses maker Ray-Ban expects to see revenue growth of a single-digit percentage over the pre-pandemic period of 2019 in constant currencies. Also, adjusted operating margin growth of as much as 100 basis points in comparison to 2019.
In a joint statement, Chief Executive Francesco Milleri, and Paul du Saillant, his deputy, stated that while revenue growth was accelerating, the company’s margins have materially increased, which proves to how it can operationally leverage its business growth.
The company expected revenue growth to rise at mid-single-digit rates for full year 2019, and that its adjusted operating margin would be greater than it was in 2019.
The third quarter’s like-for-like revenues rose by 9% to 4.46 billion euro ($5.20billion), an increase of 9% over 2019.
