MUNICH, (Reuters) – Germany’s MTU Aero Engines (OTC) has become the latest supplier to voice concern over Airbus’ plans for sharp rises in jet production.

Reiner Winkler (MTU chief executive) stated that the current target of 65 A320 family jets for summer 2023 will not be a problem.

He stated to analysts, “Then, we need to determine if market is able digest higher Airbus output together with 50 (Boeing) 737 MAX”

You have clearly heard some harsh words from lesserors. It is not clear if we reach 75.

He said earlier to reporters that “if we have sufficient lead time of about 1 or 2-years, this proposed rate (of 70 to 75%) would be manageable. But the real question is how much demand there really are.”
