© Reuters. France stock higher after close of trade, CAC 40 up 1.01Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
Paris closed with an additional 1.01%, thereby reaching a 5-year record, and the index increased 0.93%.
They were the top performers at the session BNP Paribas SA (PA) climbed 3.11% to trade at 59.70 by the close. Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (+2.70%) added 1.61 points to close at 61.17. EssilorLuxottica SA (+PA:), was up 2.50 or 4.48 points, to 183.38 late trade.
These were the worst performers of the session. Worldline SA (PA:), fell 3.79% to 48.47, or 1.91 point at the close. Airbus Group SE, (PA:), fell 0.89 percent or 0.98 point to finish at 109.62. Safran SA (PA:), was 0.64 point lower at 115.40, down by 0.55%.
Top performers in the SBF 120 competition were Valneva (PA:), which rose 8.88% towards 20.960. Solutions30 SE (PA;) which was up 4.86 to settle at 8.20. Air France KLM SA(PA:), which was up 4.28%, closed at 4.24.
Worldline SA (PA) was the worst performer, falling 3.79% to 48.47 during late trade. Gecina SA (PA 🙂 fell 1.65% to settle on 119.05; Covivio SA was also down at 1.63% at 73.58.
By 397 to 226, rising stocks outnumbered those on the Paris Stock Exchange, while 88 ended unaffected.
BNP Paribas SA shares (PA:), rose to three-years highs, up 3.11% (1.80 to 59.70). Worldline SA’s shares (PA:), fell by 3.79%, or 1.91 to 48.47. EssilorLuxottica SA shares (PA) reached all-time highs with a 2.50% increase or 4.48 to 183.38. Worldline SA (PA) shares fell to 52 week lows, falling by 3.79% (1.91 to 48.47).
The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at 0% to 18.96, a 6-month high.
For December delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.58% to $1794.25 per troy an ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil for December delivery rose 0.91 percent to $84.38, while January Brent oil contract traded at $84.70 per barrel.
EUR/USD rose 0.27 to 1.1592, and EUR/GBP increased 0.322% to 0.8475
At 93.948, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.18%.
