U.S. stocks higher at close of trade; Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.26% -Breaking

Investing.com – U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The index increased 0.63% and the index gained 0.18% at the closing of NYSE.

They were the top performers at the session Boeing Co (NYSE:), rose 3.70% to trade at 214.68 at close. Meanwhile, Dow Inc (NYSE:) added 2.61% or 1.46 points to end at 57.43 and McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:) was up 2.05% or 5.04 points to 250.59 in late trade.

They were also the session’s worst performers Home Depot Inc (NYSE 🙂 dropped 1.40% or 5.20 to close at 366.54 UnitedHealth Group Incorporated declined 1.37%, or 6.30 point to close at 454.18. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:), was down 0.60 points or 0.90 to 148.90.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Franklin Resources Inc (NYSE:) which rose 11.62% to 35.15, Affiliated Managers Association Inc (NYSE:), which rose 10.73% to settle in at 185.89, and Harley-Davidson Inc. (NYSE:), which rose 9.04% to close near 39.79.

Aon PLC (NYSE.) was the worst performer, falling 4.09% at 306.85 in late-trade. L3Harris Technologies Inc(NYSE.) lost 3.94% and settled at 221.46. Fortinet Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell 3.60% to 324.24 at the closing.

These were the top performers in the NASDAQ Composite ABVC Biopharma Inc (NASDAQ) rose by 131.10%, to 5.87 Better Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ) was up 81.51% and settled at 16.88 Muscle Maker Inc (NASDAQ) which closed at 1.6700 after gaining 50.45%

Nextplay Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:), which fell 30.20% to 1.375 late trade, Centessa Pharmaceuticals PLC (NASDAQ;) which dropped 18.46% to settle in at 14.03, and Bit Digital Inc. (NASDAQ:), which declined 17.09% to 11.855 at the close.

The New York Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpass declining stocks by 2422-285 and 129-129 respectively.

Affiliated Managers Group Inc’s shares rose by 10.73%, or 18.01 to 185.89 to reach new 3-year highs. Shares in McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.05% or 5.04 to 250.59. Shares of ABVC Biopharma Inc. (NASDAQ:), rose to 52 week highs, up 131.10%. Better Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ) shares rose to new highs, up 81.51% (7.58 to 16.88).

The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 options, was up 0.92% to 16.41.

For December delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.60% to $1794.65 an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 0.40 percent to reach $83.97/barrel, and January Brent oil, which rose 0.84 percent to trade at $84.56/barrel.

EUR/USD rose by 0.39%, to 1.1606, and USD/JPY rose by 0.01%, to 114.01.

US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.2% at 93.877.
