Stellantis offering buyouts to pension-eligible U.S. salaried workers

DETROIT – Automaker StellantisThe company, which was formerly Fiat Chrysler announced Monday that it is now offering voluntary buyouts for pension eligible U.S. salaried workers.
Eligible employees must have worked for the company at least 10 years and are at least 55 years. The buyouts are only available to unionized employees who have been employed for at least 10 years.
Stellantis spokesperson declined to reveal how many domestic salaried workers are eligible or if the automaker sets a goal for how many people it wants to receive the package.

Stellantis continues to aggressively pursue its goal of becoming the global leader in low-emission vehicles, the company stated in an email statement. Stellantis is home to 14 brands: Opel Jeep Ram, Opel Fiat Fiat Peugeot and Maserati. It highlighted the electric plans that several brands have during the event. It was founded through a $52 billion merger between Fiat Chrysler and PSA Groupe in January.
