(Reuters) – The U.S. National Labor Relations Board (NASDAQ:), will hold a hearing regarding Amazon.com Inc’s workers’ petition for unionization of their Staten Island warehouse in New York on November 15, according to Chris Smalls, a labor organizer. This was confirmed by Reuters.

These hearings are in response to workers’ demand last week to hold a union election. Amazon, which has been resisting unions in the United States for many years, recently rejected by its workers from Alabama. But, it faces growing labor pressure.

Amazon spokespeople and spokespersons for the NLRB did not immediately respond to our requests for comment.
