Sun Life Q3 profit climbs from year ago on new business, AUM growth -Breaking

TORONTO (Reuters), Sun Life Financial (NYSE 🙂 beat analysts’ estimates Wednesday for its third quarter core profit. This was due to a growth in new business, and assets under management increasing from a previous year.

Canada’s second largest life insurance company earned C$902million ($728 million) or C$1.54 per share in the three-months ended September 30, compared to C$842million or C$1.44 last year. Analysts were expecting C$1.52 Canadian Cents.

From C$750m a year ago, the reported net income attributable shareholders has risen to C$1billion.
