Toyota second-quarter quarterly profit climbs -Breaking

This is a significant improvement on the 506billion yen it earned a year ago. It benefited from a recovery in vehicle demand, even though it was forced to reduce production due to a shortage of global chips.
According to Refinitiv data, the result of the three-month period ending Sept. 30, was more than the average forecast of 593.3 billion Japanese yen based upon nine analyst estimates.
Toyota increased its full-year profit projection to 2.8 trillion Japanese yen, up from 2.5 Trillion yen. Based on 21 analyst forecasts, this prediction is less than the average 2.92 trillionyen profit. Refinitiv data shows.
