Novavax completes filing process for COVID-19 vaccine’s WHO emergency listing -Breaking

(Reuters) – Vaccine developer Novavax (NASDAQ.) Inc has announced that on Thursday, it submitted a request for the emergency use listing with the World Health Organization of COVID-19 its vaccine candidate.

It stated that it had submitted to WHO all necessary modules for the regulatory review of NVXCoV2373, the protein-based COVID-19 vaccilla.

Novavax, which had stated that its vaccine is more effective than 90% in the late-stage U.S. clinical trial in June, was correct.

It comes just days after receiving its emergency use authorization form Indonesia. In a statement, the company said that they expected Indian and Philippine regulators to approve the COVID-19 vaccination within weeks.
