Delta bookings soar in six weeks after U.S. move to open borders -Breaking

(Reuters] – Delta Air Lines’ (NYSE:) international bookings have risen 450% in six weeks following the September 20th declaration by the United States to reopen its doors for full vaccinations.

According to the White House, travelers coming from 33 countries including China, India and Brazil would be allowed into the country in November. The White House announced on October 15 that it would lift the bans starting November 8.

According to the U.S. airline, international flights will be at full capacity starting Nov. 8 and continuing with high passenger volumes for several weeks.

The airline would fly 139 international flights to 55 destinations, 38 of which are from countries other than the United States. It will offer more than 250,000 seats.

Delta stated in a statement that “the strong demand is reflected both leisure and business travellers to popular destinations like New York, Atlanta Los Angeles Boston, Boston, and Orlando.”
