- CCP Games will unveil Kill Certificate NFTs in the 2021 EVE Online Alliance Competition
- The tournament will last two weeks and participants can trade or claim NFTs.
Teams from around the globe will compete in Alliance Tournament XVII. The tournament will feature NFT collectible kills from EVE Online (the iconic strategy MMORPG for sci-fi) and will run from November 6 through November 14.
CCP Game will issue Kill Certificate NFTs on the efficient Tezos Blockchain. You can trade for and collect the Kill Certificate NFT from players who have the ultimate blow.
With the first tournament in 2005, EVE’s Alliance Tournament was one of the earliest e-sports in gaming. To commemorate their participation in the 17th EVE Online Alliance Tournament, the players will receive Kill Certificate NFTs this year.
There are also 280 special-edition ships available for purchase, but they are limited to champions of Alliance Tournament. In fact, these one-of-a-kind spacecraft have been at the center of many of EVE’s most infamous stories, and collectors and PvPers alike appreciate them.
CCP Games, in an attempt to promote innovation and sustainability chose Tezos as their blockchain platform for NFTs. Clearly, unlike typical Proof of Work blockchains, Tezos’ groundbreaking Proof of Stake method uses two million times less energy to secure its network. Tezos operates in an environment-friendly manner with low energy consumption and minimal carbon emissions.
EVE Online, a spaceship MMORPG for free to play online allows players to choose from many routes. It offers space exploration and massive PvP/E conflict, along with a dynamic player economy.
Eve Online offers players the opportunity to interact with hundreds of thousands across 7,000 star system stars in an array of occupations, including war, politics and piracy.
To emphasize, the Alliance Tournament XVII is a 40-team, 10-v-10, dual-elimination, four-day main event, preceded by a two-day ‘Feeder’ tournament earlier this year. There were 80 competing teams, which represented more than 100,000 potential players.
Most noteworthy, CCP teamed up with EVE-NT once again to fly player talent from all over the world to CCP’s offices in Reykjavik, Iceland, where the event will be streamed live on Twitch. Not to be missed, the competition ran from November 6 through 7, and will continue until November 14, with the finals being held on Sunday November 14, 2021.
