Dow futures are little changed after a record close on Friday

After Friday’s record-breaking October jobs report, stock futures were left idle overnight.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were mostly flat. S&P 500 futures dipped 0.1% and Nasdaq 100 futures fell 0.3%.

Futures traded in the hours following Friday’s U.S. House of Representatives vote. passed a more than $1 trillion infrastructure billSending the legislation to the President Joe BidenFor his signature. Package passed by the Senate in AugustFunding would increase for broadband, utility and transportation projects, in addition to other infrastructure.

To cap off a successful week, the three largest U.S. stock indexes closed Friday at records highs. In its sixth consecutive position day, the Dow gained 203.72 points or almost 0.6%. The S&P 500 gained 0.4% for its seventh winning session in a row. Nasdaq Composite posted 0.2% growth to mark its tenth consecutive session of positive results.

After the rally, October jobs reportIt came in higher than what economists expected. The Labor Department reports that U.S. payrolls saw an increase of 531,000 jobs over the past month. Friday’s report included revisions to September and August payroll numbers.
