(Reuters) – Rogers Communications Inc (NYSE:) Canada’s wireless giant said it would not appeal the Supreme Court ruling that sided with Edward Rogers, the founder, for a new board.

On Friday, the Supreme Court of British Columbia decided in favor of Edward Rogers. This was a huge victory for him in a case that had pitted him against his sister and mother as well as weighed on him.

In September, Edward Rogers lost his position as Rogers Communications chair. He claimed that he was unable to remove Chief Executive Officer Joe Natale from the company.

However, Edward Rogers, who was reinstated as Chairman of the Board on Friday, surprised everyone by showing support for Natale.
