Regeneron Gains on Claims its Antibody Cocktail Prevents Covid -Breaking

Investing.com – Regeneron Pharmaceuticals stock (NASDAQ:) rose 1% on Monday after the company said a single dose of its antibody cocktail significantly reduces the risk of contracting Covid-19.
The results of a late stage trial proved that Regen-Cov is an antibody treatment which can provide lasting immunity against infection. Myron Cohn, the director of the monoclonal antibodies efforts of the U.S. National Institutes of Health sponsored Covid Prevention Network, stated, “The potential of antibody therapy to provide long-lasting immunity towards the infection,”
Participants could choose to be vaccinated after the completion of month 1 (primary efficacy treatment) in the trial.
Regen-Cov has been authorized by the U.S. for treatment of people at risk from serious Covid-19 consequences. This includes those already infected, but not in hospital. In the U.S., it is not permitted to be used as a replacement for vaccine against Covid.
Regeneron and Roche are collaborating to increase the global supply for the antibody cocktail. Roche will be responsible for developing the product outside of the United States.
