Nissan posts Q2 profit as sales rebound from pandemic slump -Breaking

TOKYO, Reuters – Nissan Motor Co (OTC) reported Tuesday a 2nd quarter operating profit in Japan of 62.8 billion yen. This compares with a loss in the same period last year of 4.8 billion yen. The increase was due to sales recovering from a slump caused by pandemic.

This result was more than the average loss of 4.4 billion yen forecasted by 10 analysts. Refinitiv data indicates.

Nissan has increased its full year profit forecast from 150 billion to 180 billion, a rise of 5%. This prediction exceeds the mean of 161 billionyen profit, based upon forecasts by 23 analysts. Refinitiv data indicates.
