Britain proposes global competitiveness objective for financial regulators -Breaking

LONDON, (Reuters) – Britain suggested Tuesday that financial regulators be required to protect the global competitiveness and integrity of the financial industry as a goal in their post-Brexit work.

In proposals submitted to the public for consultation, the finance ministry stated that the government intended to increase growth and international competivity by introducing secondary goals for Prudential (NYSE) Regulation Authority or the Financial Conduct Authority.
