NEW YORK, Reuters – On Wednesday, a McKinsey partner was charged with insider trading. Goldman Sachs Group U.S. Prosecutors announced Wednesday that Inc had agreed to purchase digital lender GreenSky Inc ($2.24 billion).

Puneet, 40, from Manhattan, made an estimated $450,000 profit when he purchased call options in GreenSky. It was a wager that GreenSky’s stock price would increase. The option was sold by Dikshit after the merger announcement on Sept. 15.

Court documents show that Dikshit, an ex-McKinsey Global managing partner and director at Goldman, ran Google (NASDAQ) searches following his insider trading conviction.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission brought civil charges against this defendant.

Dikshit was detained on Wednesday. Dikshit was taken into custody on Wednesday. McKinsey had no immediate comment.
