France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.06% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The index gained 0.07% at the Paris close.

They were the top performers at the session Alstom SA (PA:) traded at 34.78 after the close, up 9.03%. That’s 2.88 more points. The following is the latest: Carrefour SA (PA) gained 3.17%, or 0.50 points, to finish at 16.30. Stellantis NV was up 2.51% (or 0.44 points) to 17.88 late trade.

They were also the session’s worst performers Kering SA (PA) fell by 1.97%, or 13.40 points, to close at 668.50. Credit Agricole SA (PA:), fell 1.88% or 0.25 to close at 12.85. ArcelorMittal SA, (AS:), was down 1.68 or 0.47 to 27.28.

These were the top performers on SBF 120 Valneva (PA). This rose 23.17% from 21.740. Alstom SA(PA:), which was up 9.03% at 34.78, and Spie SA. (PA.) which gained 7.74% at close at 22.84.

They were among the most disappointing. Soitec SA (PA:), which fell 3.73% to 229.40 in late-trade, Aperam SA (ASS:) that lost 2.86% to settle in 49.33 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (PA) was at close of business, down 2.07% and 459.60

The Paris Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 322 to 298 while 82 ended the same.

Spie SA shares rose by 7.74% or 1.64 to 22,84.

The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at 0% to 18.96, a 6-month high.

For December delivery, Gold Futures rose 1.27% to $1854.00/troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell by 1.53 points to reach $82.62/barrel in December. The January Brent oil contract dropped 1.25%, or 1.06, to trade at $83.72/barrel.

EUR/USD fell 0.622% to 1.1519 while EUR/GBP dropped 0.01% at 0.8548.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.6% at 94.575
