LOS ANGELES (Reuters), – An eyewitness to the shooting accident at “Rust,” set in Los Angeles last month, filed a negligence claim against Alec Baldwin’s producers and actor Alec Baldwin on Wednesday. Deadline Hollywood and Celebrity Website TMZ reported.

Serge Svetnoy (the electrician working on the Santa Fe Rust set) accused the producers of failing safety standards. According to Deadline’s civil lawsuit, a revolver loaded in live ammunition was allowed to be pointed at people living on the Rust Rust set.”

Svetnoy’s suit was the first to be filed against Baldwin for the fatal accidental shooting in October. Santa Fe authorities are continuing to investigate and have not brought any criminal charges against anybody.

Halyna Hutchins the cinematographer was killed in an accident on Oct. 21. Joel Souza, the director was injured when Baldwin’s gun fired a live shot. Additional live rounds were found at the scene.

According to the suit, “Simply stated, there was not reason for a living bullet to be put in that.45 Colt revolver.

Svetnoy was just one of several people at the scene when the fatal shooting occurred. According to his lawsuit, Svetnoy claimed that he kept Hutchins alive as she died from her injuries.

In addition to Hannah Gutierrez (armored), the lawsuit names Dave Halls, assistant director, and Hannah Gutierrez, who were in charge of weapons. They told investigators that it was Halls who gave Baldwin the gun at a rehearsal.

Baldwin, Halls Gutierrez, and producers representatives did not immediately respond to inquiries for comment Wednesday.

Svetnoy seeks unspecified damages.
