FRANKFURT (Reuters). Germany’s Merck KGaA said its order book for COVID-19-related lab gear is still increasing at a faster rate than sales. However, it had a greater handle of the situation.

After releasing the full quarter-end results, Chief Executive Belen Garijo stated that “we are very well trained at present to deal with supply chain pressures… However, we have made tremendous advances, but our order books continue growing faster than sales,”

“We are getting the situation back on track but it’s going to take a little bit of time to get each and every site up to the necessary targets to be able to fulfil 100% of customer demand,” she said, adding that only single-use bioreactor equipment and filters were affected.
