(Reuters) – A lawyer representing the family of a nine-year-old boy, who died after being trampled during a Travis Scott concert. The child was in life support for a week.

Ezra Blount’s death brought to ten the number of people who were killed in a stampede last week at Astroworld Festival. The victims ranged from age 9 to 27.

Scott, a Grammy Award nominee for hip-hop, performed before an audience of over 50,000 people at NRG Stadium. Fans rushed towards the stage and caused chaos.

Attorney Ben Crump said that “The Blount Family tonight is mourning the unimaginable loss of their young son.” This should never have happened because they took their son to see a concert.

Crump stated that any of the concert officials could have saved lives and injured people by turning off the lights and stopping the show when chaos broke out in the crowd.

The rapper offered to pay funeral costs as well as mental counseling.
