HSBC names co-heads for Asia commercial banking business -Breaking

SINGAPORE (Reuters), HSBC Holdings, (NYSE:) PLC has named two executives to lead its Asia Pacific commercial banking operations. It also announced that its regional head will oversee HSBC UK’s commercial banking activities.

HSBC released a statement Monday stating that Amanda Murphy, who is currently head of commercial banking in the United Kingdom will now lead the South and Southeast Asian commercial banking operations.

Frank Fang (currently head of commercial banking in Hong Kong and Macau) will remain as the leader and guide for both the markets and assist clients with the greater Bay Area opportunities, HSBC stated.

The two leaders will work together to lead Asia’s banking industry.

Stuart Tait will assume Murphy’s position. Tait has led Asia Pacific commercial banking.
