NetEase (NASDAQ) reported that Tuesday’s third quarter revenue was higher than expected and missed analyst forecasts by Investing.com.

NetEase reported earnings per share at 5.74 for revenue of 22.19B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted an EPS of 6.02 for revenue of 22.19B.

NetEase shares rose 16.09% over the first of the year but are down 17.23% from their 52-week peak of 134.33, set on February 11. Their performance is below the, which has increased 25.61% since the beginning of the year.

NetEase has been following the major earnings of this month’s Communication Services industry.

NetEase reported after Alphabet C’s October 26 earnings beat. They reported EPS for 65.12B on revenue, while forecasts were for EPS of 23.83 and revenue of 63.53B.

Alphabet A beat all expectations with third-quarter EPS at 27.99 on 65.12B in revenue, as compared to the forecast of 23.73 for revenue of 63.53B.
