• Week will bring together hundreds of industry professionals and specialists in San Salvador, to discuss various topics related to cryptocurrency’s importance and impact on the economy.

El Salvador will be known as the global capital for Bitcoin from November 15-20. Latin American Bitcoin & Blockchain Conference (LabitConf). All speakers, as well as special guests, will be discussing Bitcoin.

Adopting Bitcoin (Adoptando Bitcoin) and Bitcoin Latin America Foundation are event sponsors. Adopting Bitcoin promotes adoption of cryptocurrency in Central America and has scheduled talks about the subject.

Over 50 speakers will be presenting, and there will also be 150 figures and experts from the crypto world. These speakers will speak about Bitcoin’s future, present, and benefits.

Guests include key ecosystem figures such as Jameson Lopp, founder of Mensa’s Bitcoin Special Interest Group and chief technology officer at Bitcoin security provider Casa, and Stephan Livera, CEO of the Swan Bitcoin International platform and one of the most respected commentators in the industry.

Anita Posch will be there as well. She is the author of “L”earn Bitcoin: How to Become Financially Soundryn and also a member the NPO Bitcoin Austria’s board of directors. Reporter, filmmaker, and former stockbroker Max Keizer and his partner Stacy Herbert, both hosts of the “Bitcoin Orange Pill Pod” podcast and the Keizer Report program, will be there as well. Additionally, Matías Goldenhörn, head of Athena for Latin America and the founder of the FTX exchange, Sam Bankman-Fried, will be there.

Others who are connected to the sector will be speaking on current topics regarding Bitcoin include Giacomo Zucco (Italian developer, creator of RGB), and Tadge dryja, a Bitcoin researcher from MIT.

Adopting Bitcoin in El Salvador

Adoptando Bitcoin plans to hold conferences between the 16th-18th of the month in San Salvador (El Zonte). Although the purpose of the conference is to make cryptocurrencies more accessible to all users and Salvadorans, it will also be technical in nature.

All proceeds will be donated towards the creation of the Lightning Network. This network of decentralized Bitcoin tokens executes instant micropayments with high volume and eliminates the need for intermediaries to hold funds.

This event is a day of free education where everyone can understand the benefits of Bitcoin and how it could be used beyond remittances. It also explains why the asset is so important to all Salvadorans, not just those with greater buying power.

It is no accident that El Salvador was chosen as the location for this event of international relevance. BTC was adopted by El Salvador in September as its legal tender. They want crypto asset enthusiasts and experts to share their most recent accomplishments.
