Adopting Bitcoin in El Salvador
Adoptando Bitcoin plans to hold conferences between the 16th-18th of the month in San Salvador (El Zonte). Although the purpose of the conference is to make cryptocurrencies more accessible to all users and Salvadorans, it will also be technical in nature.
All proceeds will be donated towards the creation of the Lightning Network. This network of decentralized Bitcoin tokens executes instant micropayments with high volume and eliminates the need for intermediaries to hold funds.
This event is a day of free education where everyone can understand the benefits of Bitcoin and how it could be used beyond remittances. It also explains why the asset is so important to all Salvadorans, not just those with greater buying power.
Rodolfo andragnes is the LabitConf general organizer. He spoke to the website iproup.com.
“There, we’ll all be willing to teach from scratch with talks on topics like speculation management, alternative types of cryptocurrency, benefits of various wallets, and job opportunities,”
Andragnes also added.
To The Flipside
- This event supports the efforts of El Salvador’s government to develop Bitcoin trading in El Salvador.
- It will also educate Salvadorans on the benefits and potential of cryptocurrency, so they can discover more uses than just the Chivo wallet.
- This event is held at the same time that BTC just published its Taproot update.
It is no accident that El Salvador was chosen as the location for this event of international relevance. BTC was adopted by El Salvador in September as its legal tender. They want crypto asset enthusiasts and experts to share their most recent accomplishments.
What are the reasons to care?
- The event is free and one of the largest global gatherings this year. Participants can register on the website labitconf.com to be able to attend both online and face-to-face conferences.
- Participants will be eligible to win tickets that allow them to network with top figures from the cryptocurrency industry.
The organizers hope that the event will help show the world the impact that El Salvador’s decision has had to attract capital and encourage the use of cryptocurrencies in everyday life.
The event organizers will also offer other activities such as personalized legal clinics or graphic artist exhibits. A fair for artisans is planned, where Bitcoin will be used as the currency. There will also be halls featuring commercial stands from crypto companies as well as live music concerts and commercial displays.
