Mobile Internet is the Next Big Thing After Meta: Meta

Even before Mark Zuckerburg, CEO of Facebook (NASDAQ) changed its name to Meta in his announcement of its new logo, many of the top and most innovative tech companies worldwide saw the potential for the metaverse.

Apple’s invention in 2007 of the iPhone (NASDAQ:) sparked a worldwide movement to bring the majority of humanity onto the Internet. It brought the internet to the majority of the globe. It wasn’t the first smartphone – in fact, the very first mobile phone with internet capability was produced by Nokia (NYSE:) in 1996.

It was however, the catalyst for a worldwide revolution. For starters, it was such an advancement over similar products on the market that three massive legacy mobile phone manufacturers saw their market share destroyed – Blackberry (TSX:), Nokia, and Motorola (NYSE:). Apple’s first foray into mobile internet created such a massive first-mover advantage that within less than a decade all three conglomerates either closed down or sold off their mobile phone divisions.

The mobile phone is now the preferred method of accessing the Internet, just fourteen years after it was first introduced. Report by Perficient In the United States, 61% (NASDAQ:) of all website visits in 2020 were made on mobile devices, compared with 57% in 2019. The trend has been stronger globally, with 61% of website visits in the United States being made on a mobile device by 2020, compared to 57% in 2019. Desktop computers are rare in large swathes of developing countries, but having a mobile phone is common.

The metaverse is expected to lead the next global revolution. All indications point in this direction.

The Metaverse

Let’s start by asking what a metaverse is. A metaverse, according to Oxford Dictionary is an environment in which computer-generated environments are created and users can interact with each other.

“Metaverse” combines the words meta, meaning beyond, more comprehensive or transcending, and the word universe. The metaverse generally refers to a 3D world that is virtualized using the technology of virtual reality, augmented reality.

Hollywood has shown a dark depiction of the metaverse in movies, including one in Matrix where humanity is slaved to it. And in a chilling and potentially realistic metaverse called “the Oasis” in Ready Player One, one sees a renewed hope because of the metaverse.

Although such technologies are well-established since the 1990s and have also been used in games like Second Life, which was launched in 2003. However, blockchain technology has given new life to the concept of the metaverse.

The environment has become a stormy one for many metaverses, thanks to the rise in centralized social media giants such as Facebook (NYSE:), Google, Apple, Microsoft (NASDAQ)), and Google (NASDAQ).

We’ve seen that Facebook changed its name to Meta with CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s video announcing their massive investment. Microsoft, Google, Sony (NYSE: ) made only a handful of serious investments in this space.

This leaves you, the regular human being. What is it going to do for your life? This article features one company who is entering the metaverse and blockchain space at a level that almost everybody can agree upon. Pizza – one of the most popular foods in the world and gaming.

PizzaBucks

You guessed it. Both pizza and gaming. You don’t need to do much research to find out that pizza is extremely popular all over the globe. There is potential for blockchain disruption in an already booming space like gaming, with over 3.24 Billion users. Why not merge them into the metaverse?

PizzaBucks, an innovative blockchain ecosystem, is scheduled to be launched in Q1 2022. Central to this metaverse will be a high-graphics race car game, where you pay with cryptocurrency to get your own race car – which you actually own because it is a Non-Fungible Token. Your avatar can be customized and you can level up.

You still think about Ready Player One? You can imagine land and buildings as well as your own garage for your race car repairs and upgrades. In this game-based metaverse, you will earn more by racing it. It’s all coming in Q2 to PizzaBucks.

PizzaBucks uses a crypto token that was built on Binance Smart Chain to power its ecosystem. All users can enjoy low transaction fees when participating in the program. PizzaBucks token $PIZZAB has a deflationary function. There were 200 billion tokens made during pre-sale. 50% are locked for burn. The circulating supply of tokens will not exceed 100 billion, which creates buying pressure and a downward trend in the price.

The passive income that holders will receive is a reward. A buyback of $PIZZAB will take place for every token transaction. Holders receive a reward: $PIZZAB holders will be rewarded with 4% transaction fees.

Additionally, 1% of transaction fees goes to the PizzaBucks teams’ chosen charity – Mission for Charity. Safe Pizza, which administers the project’s charity actions, has already held 13 charity events.

PizzaBucks will enter the metaverse to provide a Play to Earn opportunity that allows them to contribute to the global gaming economy of 3.4 Billion. What size can this get? It will only be time!
