© Reuters NVIDIA Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3NVIDIA (NASDAQ) reported Wednesday that the third quarter beat analyst forecasts, and that revenue exceeded expectations.
NVIDIA reported earnings per share at $1.17 on $7.1B in revenue. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted an EPS of $1.11 for $6.82B in revenue.
NVIDIA shares rose 124% over the first of the year but are down 9.48% from their 52-week peak of $323.10, set on November 9th. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is up 24.89% from the start of the year.
After-hours trading saw NVIDIA share gains of 2.36% following the report.

NVIDIA’s earnings beat was achieved by Microsoft in October 26th, when they reported an EPS of 2.27 for revenue $45.32B. This compares to Microsoft’s forecasts of an EPS at $2.08 for revenue $44B.
Apple exceeded expectations with fourth-quarter EPS at $1.24 per $13.36B on revenue $83.36B. This compares to the $1.24 expected on revenue $85.05B.
