U.S. govt to buy 10 million courses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 pill for $5.29 billion -Breaking

(Reuters) -Pfizer Inc announced that the U.S. government has signed a $5.29 Billion deal to purchase 10,000,000 COVID-19 antiviral drugs for delivery in 2022.

If approved Pfizer (NYSE:) stated that it will supply the drug starting in 2018 and ending in 2022.

Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra said that “this promising treatment could accelerate our path to this pandemic and offer another life-saving tool in people who become sick with COVID-19.”
