(Reuters) – Oprah Winfrey (and Reese Witherspoon) and Whitney Wolfe Herd (Bumble Inc founder) have all invested in Spanx. Spanx completed a major stake sale that valued the company at $1.2 million to Blackstone (NYSE) Inc.

Spanx announced Thursday that G9 Ventures was another new investor, as well as Able Partners and G9 Ventures were founded by women.

“Oprah was a huge reason for Spanx’s initial success when she called it one of her famous ‘Favorite Things 2000’,” Sara Blakely, founder, stated in a statement.

Blackstone intends to grow Spanx internationally, and also help strengthen the company’s online business. It previously invested in Bumble online dating app Herd and Hello Sunshine media business Witherspoon, which are both female-led ventures.
