WASHINGTON (Reuters] – U.S. President Joe Biden will forgive two Indiana-based turkeys named Peanut Butter or Jelly during Thanksgiving. It is continuing a tradition that has been going on for decades.

These birds were displayed in the short video tweeted by White House on Thursday. They are seen sitting side-by-side on beds that look like hotel rooms with crested headboards.

In 1947, President Harry Truman was the first recipient of a bird gifted by America’s turkey farmers, a tradition that continued. John Kennedy, the President of the United States, decided in 1963 to return his gift to its source farm.

George H.W. Bush, the 1989 president that offered turkey pardons at the White House was George H.W. Barack Obama was known for his witty jokes and his daughter often making fun of him.

Trump, the then-President, emerged in 2020 from an isolation he had started after losing November’s presidential election. He pardoned Corn, a 42-pound turkey.
