(Reuters) – The U.S. Congressional Budget Office announced that it will publish a cost estimate on President Joe Biden’s bill “Build Back Better” Thursday afternoon.
Proposal worth $1.75 Trillion aims to increase the United States’ social safety net and climate change policy.
Democratic lawmakers stated that CBO (a nonpartisan branch of Congress) is likely to generate revenue for the IRS as well drug-pricing provisions.
If the House of Representatives passes the bill, it will move to Senate. The Senate is narrowly controlled also by Democrats. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer would like to pass it before the November 25th Thanksgiving holiday.
