FDA authorizes Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine booster for U.S. adults -Breaking

(Reuters) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved booster doses on Friday Pfizer Inc (NASDAQ) and BioNTechSE (NASDAQ) have released COVID-19, an adult vaccine that protects against the disease in all Americans. The move is intended to address the waning protection for fully vaccinated Americans who are now facing breakthrough cases of Delta variants.

You can get there earlier in the day. Moderna (NASDAQ:) The FDA has extended an emergency authorization for a booster dose from its COVID-19 vaccination to adults 18 years and over.

Later in the day, a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory group will meet to decide whether or not to recommend booster doses for a wider population.
