REUTERS/Chris Wattie/File photo(Reuters] – U.S. Federal Reserve President Christopher Waller indicated Friday that the Fed may double its January bond buying taper to complete by April. This will give the Fed more control over when interest rates are raised and gives it greater flexibility.
You could double the tapering pace in January and be finished by April. That gives you policy space, should you require it. Waller made the remarks following his speech at the Center for Financial Stability New York.
