Vivendi says is long-term investor in Telecom Italia amid KKR takeover talk -Breaking

ROME (Reuters). Vivendi, a French media company (OTC) stated on Sunday that it is a top long-standing investor in ROME. Telecom Italia (MI.) (TIM), and is determined to make it long-term successful. The Italian board was set to meet with U.S. funds KKR in order to review a proposed takeover offer.

A spokesperson for the company stated that “Vivendi has been a long-term shareholder in Telecom Italia since its beginning” before a statement was released.

According to the spokesperson, Vivendi strongly denied having spoken with any Funds or with CVC (private equity company) CVC” and said that he wants to partner with Italian authorities to help ensure TIM’s continued success.
