Astra Space Soars 35% On First Commercial Orbital Launch -Breaking

Investing.com – Astra Space stock (NASDAQ:) climbed by more than 35% Monday as the space-transportation company successfully completed its first commercial orbital launch for the U.S. Space Force.

The launch vehicle 0007 carrying a test payload took off from Kodiak Island’s Pacific Spaceport. In less than 10 minutes, it reached the exact orbit.

This privately owned company was created in 2016 to provide low-cost services in space.

The company released a statement on November 11, quoting Kelyn Brannon as its CFO, stating that it is close to completion of LV0008 but has already started production of LV0009.

In July and September, the company reported an adjusted net loss (net loss) of $34.5million and adjusted earnings before taxes and interest loss (32.9 million). The company expects that this will increase to 40 million to 44 million for the next quarter.
