Virgin Atlantic sees U.S.-UK planes 60-70% full in coming weeks -Breaking

LONDON, (Reuters) – Virgin Atlantic’s head said he expects flights along its transatlantic routes to fill up between 60% and 70% in the week leading up to Christmas. He also stated that he didn’t anticipate COVID forcing those borders to close.

Airlines UK conference speaker Shai Weiss said that although the airline had not seen a lot of bookings in the past three to six months, it was still not visible. However, he believed the UK to U.S. route would drive the recovery, as many parts Asia are highly limited.

He stated that “we will trade all the way to Christmas with probably a 60-70 load factor which is a material increase.”
