WASHINGTON (Reuters] – Over the longer term, the U.S. Federal Reserve is going to have an important role in ensuring that inflation doesn’t become “endemic”, Janet Yellen, U.S. Treasury secretary told CNBC Monday.

Yellen recognized that Americans are anxious about rising prices. However, she said that while most Americans have concerns, most of the rise was likely due to supply chain blockages caused by pandemics.
