Jim Cramer picks 4 stocks to look at as market rotates away from tech

[ad_1]

CNBC’s reports Wall Street is shifting away from technology-winning stocks to invest in areas that are more stable, CNBC’s report. Jim CramerWhile describing a strategy to help investors play the rotation, he said it Monday

“The gap between the Nasdaq haves and the S&P 500 have-nots had finally become so untenable this morning that money managers, at least some big ones, decided they had to take profits in tech after a fabulous run-up and swap into something else,” Cramer said, as he sought to explain why the Nasdaq set an intraday record Monday before reversing course and closing lower by 1.26%.

The “Mad Money”Host said that he expected this to happen in the next few days. This suggests investors resisting the temptation to invest in tech stocks as a wager they will roar back.

I’d prefer to find companies that performed well during earnings season but were unfairly trampled upon in the past few weeks, since they weren’t part the Nasdaq stampede. That way you can fall back on the fundamentals — those still matter — and buy more if they end up going lower,” he said.

Cramer has identified the following stocks that he believes meet this criteria.

Morgan Stanley

Centene

Cramer stated that the health insurance company is purchasing back large amounts of stock and trades at a low price, which comes to 14 times earnings. CenteneThe White House is supportive of any expansion in Medicare or Medicaid benefits. This will be a benefit to the entire family, he stated.

With the rails vibrating, I believe that there will be a strong holiday season. UPSCramer explained that Christmas is going to be a wildfire, with flames lasting for many days if it not weeks.”
