Japan govt to unveil extra budget with $312 billion spending to tackle COVID-19

TOKYO, Reuters – Japan’s government will announce on Friday the first additional budget for the fiscal year ending March. The spending is estimated at 36 trillion yen (312.04 billion). A draft of Reuters revealed this figure.

The draft indicated that Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s Cabinet is likely to approve Friday’s budget plan, which includes additional bond issuances totalling 22.1 trillion Japanese yen.
