The Japanese yen fell 2.53% at the Tokyo close, putting it at a 1-month high.
These were the best performers of the session Sumitomo Osaka Cement Co., Ltd. T:, which rose 8.86% (295.0 points) to trade at 3625.0 by the close. Meanwhile, Citizen Holdings Co., Ltd. (T) was increased 4.21% or 22.0 to reach 544.0 Nichirei Corp. In late trade, the T: was up 1.94% (or 51.0 points) to 2684.0
These were the worst performers of the session. Keisei Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (T:), fell 6.03%, or 215.0 points, to trade at 3350.0 by the close. IHI Corp. T: fell 5.69%, or 140.0 points, to close at 2322.0 Pacific Metals Co., Ltd. (T:), was lower by 5.39%, or 121.0 points, to 2124.0.
