ROME, (Reuters) – Italy’s antitrust regulator has issued a 10 million euro ($11.23million) fine to Alphabet (NASDAQ;) and Apple (NASDAQ;) for “aggressive practice” related to the commercial usage of user data.

According to the authority, they did not give “clear and urgent information” about the tech groups’ data collection and usage practices.

Google users can accept the data usage conditions when they create their Google account. Apple does not offer users the option of choosing how to handle the matter.
