ZURICH, Reuters – On Friday, Roche shareholders voted overwhelmingly in support of Novartis’s $20.7 billion purchase.

Roche called an extraordinary meeting of the general public to resolve issues related to the plan to unify the two pharmaceutical companies, which are both located in Basel and had been connected by this investment for over two decades.

Roche reported that shareholders approved the audited, statutory interim financial reports of the company up to 31 October 2021. The majority was 100.00%. The plan to cancel 53.3 million of the shares purchased was also supported by the shareholders with 99.85%.
