© Reuters. (Reuters) – Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd (OTC) Ltd maintained a solid liquidity position, despite the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron version of COVID-19’s impact on travel demand. A senior executive stated Wednesday.
Due to strong air cargo performance, the airline reported that its liquidity at HK$31.7 trillion as of Oct. 31, was slightly lower than HK$32.8 billion as of June 30, but still HK$31.7 trillion.
Ronald Lam, Cathay’s Chief Customer Officer and Commercial Officer said that it was too soon to evaluate the effect on travel demand.
