Brazil’s Suzano CEO says $12-$13 carbon price could support forest regeneration -Breaking

SAO PAULO, Brazil (Reuters) – Walter Schalka, chief executive of Brazilian pulp-paper maker Suzano stated Wednesday that a $12-$13 dollar per tonne carbon price could be used to support one hectare natural forest regeneration.

Schalka made the remarks on Wednesday, during the Reuters Next conference. She noted that regulated carbon offset credit markets around the world are essential for conserving natural forests.
