Canada officially excludes Boeing from C$19 billion fighter jet contract -Breaking

OTTAWA, Reuters – Canada expelled Boeing (NYSE:) Co (multi-billion) from a contract for 88 fighter jets. The federal government stated Wednesday that the Canadian government did not provide a specific explanation.

It is a decision that can only be made Lockheed Martin Corp (NYSE 🙂 and Sweden’s SaabAB AB remain in the running. Ottawa states it will make a decision on next year’s contract, which could have a value of up to C$19billion ($14.8billion).

Reuters, citing a Defense Source, reported that Boeing was banned on November 25.
