REUTERS/Karen Ducey/File PhotoBEIJING, (Reuters) – China’s aviation authorities issued Thursday an airworthiness directive for Boeing’s (NYSE:) 737 MAX. This will allow the model to return to China after more that two-and-a-half years.
Although the directive tells airlines operators what changes will be required before MAX can return to flying again, it doesn’t specify when China will remove the ban.
China’s Civil Aviation Administration declared in November that design changes to the MAX were safe, while it solicited industry input for its proposed aviation safety directive.
