Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index fell by 1.35% at Frankfurt’s close, while it declined 1.62% and dropped 2.66%.

Vonovia SE(DE:) was the best performer of the session, rising 1.60%, or 0.78 points, to trade at 49.63 close. Meanwhile, Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE) Added 0.65% or 3.290 points to 60.410 Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. Late trade saw a 0.55% increase or 0.060 point to 10.950 (DE:).

They were also the worst performers of the session. Delivery Hero AG (DE): The close was 107.40, down 7.21% (8.35 points). Zalando SE (DE:), fell 4.56%, or 3.62 points, to close at 75.69. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) fell 3.88% to 40.420.

Top performers in the MDAX were Duerr AG (DE:) which rose 7.38% to 38.720, K&S AG (DE:) which was up 1.40% to settle at 15.482 and Befesa SA (DE): Closed at 59.50 after gaining 0.51%

They were among the most disappointing. Scout24 AG (DE) was at 54.100, down 8.80% in late trade Nemetschek AG O.N. O.N. TeamViewer AG (DE) was at 11.22, down by 5.31% from the previous close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were S&T AG (DE:) which rose 2.50% to 20.12, Qiagen NV (DE;) increased 0.18% to 47.980 Varta AG (DE) lost 0.8% and closed at 113.100.

Jenoptik AG O.N., which lost 6.65% to 35.100 late trade, and Nemetschek AG O.N. were the worst performers. (DE:), which fell 6.58% to close at 104.400, and SMA Solar Technology AG AG (DE:), which dropped 5.88% at 41.600 by the end.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 536 to 170, and ended the day unchanged at 71.

Scout24 AG shares (DE:) plunged to 52 week lows. They fell 8.80%, or 5.220 to 56.100. TeamViewer AG shares (DE:), fell to their lowest levels ever, losing 5.31% (0.63 to 11.22).

For February delivery, Gold Futures fell 1.05% to $1765.65 per troy-ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil for January delivery rose 1.7%, or 1.16, to reach $66.73 per barrel. The February Brent oil contract, however, rose 1.7%, or 1.01, to trade at $69.88/barrel.

EUR/USD dropped 0.1% to 1.1307 and EUR/GBP fell by 0.36%, to 0.8491.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.6% at 96.085.
